The weavers very often work independently or in small units. This is not a manufacturing industry. The weaving is also almost entirely done by men.

The traditional methods of vegetable-dying natural wool and weaving are timeless and remain unaltered. Of course, we cannot trade directly with the weavers, so the rugs are taken across the border and finished in Pakistani workshops.
